What is a Mobility Session?
A mobility session with a physical therapist is a targeted, hands-on appointment focused on improving how well your body moves. It’s more than just stretching—mobility work combines guided exercises, manual therapy, and joint-specific movements to help restore flexibility, increase range of motion, and improve movement quality. These sessions are tailored to your needs, whether you’re recovering from injury, dealing with stiffness, or trying to prevent future limitations. Mobility sessions help you move better, feel stronger, and perform daily or athletic tasks more efficiently
What is Vestibular Rehabilitation?
Vestibular rehabilitation therapy is a specialized branch of physical therapy focused on helping people who experience dizziness, vertigo, balance issues, or a sense of disorientation caused by problems in the inner ear or brain. These symptoms are often linked to disorders like BPPV, vestibular neuritis, labyrinthitis, or post-concussion dysfunction. Left untreated, they can disrupt daily life, make it hard to walk confidently, and even increase fall risk. VRT is designed to retrain how your brain processes signals from your vestibular system so you can move through your environment without feeling off balance or unsteady.
How does Vestibular Rehab work?
Your brain is built to adapt, and vestibular rehab takes full advantage of that. A physical therapist trained in vestibular care will first assess how your eyes, head, and body respond to movement and position changes. From there, they build a plan around your specific deficits such as dizziness, instability, or motion sensitivity. You’ll work through targeted drills that combine head and eye coordination, balance work, and movement exposure. With consistency, your system gets sharper, your body handles motion more efficiently, and you start moving with confidence instead of hesitation.
