Physical Therapy FAQs

Physical therapy is considered one of the most non-invasive treatments you can get. You should not feel discomfort during your therapy session, although similar to a workout, you might feel a little like you’ve been stretching post-treatment. The key takeaway: Don’t avoid physical therapy if you’re worried about pain. If anything, you’ll feel better with treatment before you know it!
Physical therapists can treat a countless number of injuries or illnesses. These include sports injuries such as torn ACLs, tendinopathy, sprains and strains, to the very common conditions such as arthritis, carpal tunnel, bursitis, and back, neck, or knee pain. PT is also almost always prescribed after surgeries for things such as total shoulder or knee replacements. Many women see specialized PTs during and/or after pregnancy as well to treat conditions such as pelvic floor dysfunctions and postpartum pain and weakness. The list really does go on and on.
You can either wear loose-fitting clothing or, if your therapy will be in the lower-body region, yoga pants or workout clothes. The most important thing is that you are comfortable. It is generally not advised to wear blue jeans, dresses, or any type of clothing that may make it harder to move in or prevent your therapist from accessing the afflicted area.
Physical therapy is one of the best approaches to many types of chronic pain. Depending on the root cause of your illness or injury, you might experience physical therapy as a first-line treatment or as part of a combined treatment regimen.

Fitness classes work just as they would at most gyms or fitness centers. You sign up for a class and show up. Classes can be taken a la carte or enjoyed with a membership. To learn more about our fitness classes, see here.

While adults can take any fitness classes, such as general fitness classes, boxing, or HYROX, signing up for Adult Fitness ensures that you will not have a younger demographic in the class.
You can learn the appropriate modification for the current exercise with help for the class instructor. We also offer one-on-one personal training if you want even more dedicated time outside of class to work on certain exercises. To learn more about personal training, you can reach out here.
Yes, any of our fitness classes allow for modifications.
Recovery FAQs
Recovery focuses on setting aside time after a workout or sport to allow for healing. While time does this on its own, it may not be as effective as using techniques such as ice, heat, and pressure. Our recovery methods allow for better gains and work with your body to promote healing, restoration, and stave off injury.
A cold plunge is the idea of submerging oneself in very cold, icy waters after working out. This can help with exercise-induced muscle damage and prevent pain and soreness. You can learn more about Cold Plunges here.
